Reserve loadmaster promoted to chief after 38 years in wing
Chief Master Sgt. Dave Kist, 313th Airlift Squadron air reserve technician and chief loadmaster, was promoted May 1, 2015 in his 38th year with the 446th Airlift Wing. Kist has served as a traditional Reservist since his senior year of high school and became an ART in 2006 after retiring from a 25-year career as a Washington state trooper. Boeing engineer joins 313th AS
Joshua Brewer, a Boeing engineer, was sworn in Oct. 25 on the flight line at McChord Field, Wash., by his uncle, a retired Navy Reservist, as the newest pilot in the 313th Airlift Squadron. His family and members of the 313th attended the event, which was held in front of the C-17 Globemaster III that Brewer will fly after graduating from Officer Candidate School and pilot training. Maj. Michael Masuda, C-17 instructor pilot with the 313th Airlift Squadron, here at McChord Field, Wash., effortlessly finishes the Memphis in May Olympic Triathlon in Memphis, Tenn. May 19, where he also qualified for the U.S. National Championships for Olympic Triathlons.
